What are these? Fish Skateboards.

I saw these online and ordered 2 to check them out.  There was no mention of brand and I could not see much form the small pics.  But whatever, I gave them a shot.  I have not ridden them yet, but they are really similar to the Penny, same size and shape, grip pattern, and the truck mounting holes are the same as the Penny and Stereo trucks, not the standard mounting pattern.  

When they got here the logo says Fish Skateboards.  Whoever that is.  I am going to set them up with the trucks that I replaced from the Penny and Stereo Vinyl Cruiser and see how these flex and feel compared to those.  I am guessing exactly the same, but we will see.

Will post some more pics when I get them set up.

Vans iPhone Case

This just came today, Vans iPhone case.  This is by far the coolest looking iphone case i have ever had.  The fit is not the best, but I will live with it for a while just because of how much I like the design.

I have 2 decks on the way that I am really curious about and some bushings I have never tried before on the way but these holidays are messing with my waiting times for shipping.  I wish every thing in the world was Amazon Prime eligible, I would already have this stuff.  In the mean time here are some size comparison pics.

I like Plastic Skateboards, why not plastic shoes?

Native shoes.  They were cheap so I got a few pair.  I got them because they seem to be the same material as Crocs and I always thought Crocs looked comfortable but stupid.   I wore the black ones to the beach a bunch of times.  They fill up with sand because of all the holes, but then I stop at the shower thing and use the low one and all the sand is gone.  They work perfect for the beach.  

I also wore them to 2 doctors appointments. 

I caught both doctors staring at them.  And not in a good way.  In a way that makes me afraid the doctor would be looking at the shoes and trying to figure them out and miss some obvious test result that means my butt is going to fall off next week.  And then who cares how easy it is to spray sand off my shoes, I have to carry my butt around in a shoulder bag and jerks make fun of me and call it a purse and I have to put locking gas caps on their cars and then throw away the keys to get them back.

In conclusion, good for beach, and bad for doctor officing.

I think  I need to make my New Years resolution to learn if the color in the shoes above is spelled gray or grey.  That one gets  me every time.  They both look sooooooo right.

I like sand.  Not as much as water, but close.

Stiffies were weird

These are Stiffies risers.  They are weird.  They are aluminum.  They are stiff.  Plastic risers like Cell Blocks were from around the same time as these and seemed stiff enough.  Oh wells, I guess these were for those that wanted stiffer.  I use soft risers most of the time to absorb shock.  I feel like these would make my knees 10 percent more grumpy.

I like these better than Stiffies

Bones Hardcore Hard Bushings

These are just soft enough to make me think they would be ridable in something I own.  Then I try them and I don't turn very much.  Bones Bushings are awesome but only in medium.  Medium feel good, but soft is way too soft and hard is way to hard.  It's like the three bears work at their factory.

Measurements: top and bottom, 3/4″ wide at the insert and 1″ wide at the other side. The top is 7/16 tall, and the bottom is 9/16 tall
