Nicoles favorite board is the Green Banana Eco Cruiser so we decided to paint the grip tape. Looks pretty cool. I painted the other Green Banana I have, the Lil Nanner while we had everything out.

Globe Bantam
It has been raining a lot here so I put some new grip tape on my Globe Bantam yesterday. It didn't take as long as I thought to cut the edges along the decks pattern. I had this idea for a while and kept putting it off. I like how it turned out.

Grip Tape on Penny again.
I regripped my Penny again just because I wanted to do something cool to post with the #pennygrip hashtag on instagram. By the way, I am holdsfast on there If anyone wants to follow me or @holdsfast me to show me some cool pics.
So I made some stencils, and a little spray paint later, here it is. I like it.

Penny Grip Tape
The other day I picked up a piece of the Penny grip tape that I have seen around lately.
It was a little pricy at the local shop, but looking around its not very expensive online.
Penny has a cool idea, marking the bottom in a diamond pattern so you can cut out shapes that will match the diamond pattern of the deck
I finally got around to putting it on today.
Before anything else, I had to stencil and spray paint my dogs logo on it for good measure.
The old grip came off easy. Usually I will leave the deck in the sun for a little while to soften up the grip to make it easier to peel off. That wasn't necessary on the Penny, I guess because there is just less surface area for it to stick to. I had Jessup on the deck previously, and it did leave a little stick residue behind, no big deal its getting covered right away again.
The pre-cut holes didn't match up perfectly, but for the ease of not having to take the trucks off to apply grip tape, I can live with that. I will update after a few weeks of riding when I have a feel for how well it grips and holds up.

Re-Grip
I had some sheets of grip tape left over from gripping the Penny and Stereo decks. I like the clear grip, it looks cool, but It never seems to work as well as black grip. The black grip looks good anyway. These boards are so fun. I have been riding the top one for a while with harder than I usually ride, 89a wheels and harder bushings. I switched the bushings in the bottom one to some bones mediums, from pretty soft bushings. I think I am going to get some harder wheels for it and use it for the Bro Bowl and some other local parks now that I am feeling a little recovered after my surgery.

Grip Tape For Stereo Vinyl Cruiser and Penny Skateboard
I did this a few days ago. Because of the square lip on the raised "grip"part of both of the boards it is pretty easy to trim and looks pretty good. This is easy and cheap and makes these boards ride 1000 times better. At first I was just putting an inch strip down the center of the board, that works okay if you still want to see the design in the top of the deck. This feels much better though, I think they stay like this now.
