I really like riding and talking about plastic or fiberglass skateboards.

Bones Reds
I appreciate Bones Reds. They ride really nice. They are like $11-12 if you look around and you can get them anywhere for a few dollars more and they ride very nice. They are like the PBR of skateboard bearings.
Can't beat 'em for the price to quality ratio. Although Milehighskates.com has some very recommended bearings that they make themselves. Heard quite a bit about 'em. Btw, is it good to go ahead and clean Reds right after they've been broken in? The directions say it's a good idea, wanted your opinion.
I have not tried MHS's bearings. Im not sure where he gets them from, but Im sure they are good if he puts his name behind them. I put a drop of lube on them before I put them in and pretty much do not touch them after that until they start to feel worse of make noise. Im sure they would last longer if I cleaned them but at 12 bucks it is just not worth the hassle to me anymore. I used to ride Bones Swiss and clean and lube them once a month or anytime I rode in the rain and they lasted forever. I guess I am just lazier than I used to be. It's your call, probably better to do.
