  1. Yay Science!, hey i finally got my penny board and its amazing!! but is there a way i can protect the edges of the deck? im still new to riding and i ate it alot and now there are scratches on the edge of my board, i no riding it right after i bought it was a bad idea but it was oh so fun! love the ride and scars lols,

but ya is there a way i can prevent the scratches on the edge? i was thinking of putting hot glue on the edges as a layer that can be scratch and what not.

and also it is totally stock, is there anything you suggest i add to it or fix it to make it an even more awesome ride?

  2. The only real answer is to get used to scratches. They wont effect the board functionally. And the scratches mean you are out there skating, so be proud of them.
I have replaced everything on my Penny except for the wheels. The easy and most noticeable upgrades will be bearings and adding griptape. after that bushings. if you really get into it then the trucks

  3. Hey, what are the possible ways i can make my penny lower to the ground besides changing the size of the wheels?

a list would be very helpful ahah along with pros and cons lols

  4. Wheels are the only realistic way. If you want smaller and still soft look at Cadillacs or any companies filmers. You will find some smaller sizes. You might find some smaller trucks, but not by much and just adding shorter bushings will mess up the geometry of the truck.

For a second I thought about a very very very unrealistic way to lower it that probably would ruin a otherwise nice fun skateboard would be to make it a cut the deck so you could run the trucks dropthrough. It would be unrideable but very low. The more I think about it the more I think it would break. You would be losing a lot of material on an already narrow deck. And I don't think it would turn very well without wheel wells but if you cut them, it would weaken it even more.
This is a terrible idea, but I do have an extra deck at home. I can't believe I'm thinking about this.
