Baseplate testing

Im in the process of trying these baseplates with ace 00 hangers to see if I can tell a difference.  I rode the stock baseplates for enough time to get a feel for them.  I switched to the Indy stage 9 baseplates and am giving them a while before I switch to the cores.  I dont expect a huge difference but just looking at them the geometry is a little different and Indys trucks definitely feel different than Ace trucks so maybe just changing the baseplates will make enough of a difference to make aces my goto narrow trucks.  I doubt it though...

Blood Orange Bushings

I moved some things around and ended up with the 100mm Sorf Rodz on one of the Fish Skateboards decks.  They had Nipples in them which I really liked but I had these Blood Oranges laying around and wanted to try them out.  They are good, and after anything else I may have liked them more, but after a little riding, I like the Nipples better.  That may change after more ride time though.

They are all barrels, 5/8" tall and 1" across.

They have 5 hardnesses, these are labeled soft.  No durometer listed.

Old old old school.

I have had this board forever, I think it was either my Aunt's or my Dad's.  The clay wheels are unridable, bearings are rusty and the 50 year old deck will probably crack at any moment.   I need to get a nice piece of hardwood and recreate this deck.  Then some Midtracks and some of the small Cadillacs.  Still would probably not be the most fun ride but that would be kind of cool.

Booze Cruise

This thing was a lot of fun.  Lots of people, lots of riding.  Everyone I talked to were really cool and friendly guys and girls.  I'm down to do this anytime there is one.  Hopefully I don't take as many hard spills in the Bro Bowl next time.
