I need a sign that says...

No City Ordinances
Per Skateboarders

so jerks can't get away with this type of silliness

  1. I'm thinking of building up a plastic skateboard by starting off with the fish skateboard deck, tracker mid tracks, 62mm 78a bennetts wheels and red bones bearings how much of an improvement, is this over the stock penny board?

is the fish skateboard equal in quality to the stereo and penny board?

one last question being 180 lbs, and just using it to cruise and ride would you recomend tracker mid tracks or the fast track?

thanks, i love your blog its awesome!, i used to skate a lot in the 90s with the double tailed small wheels combo, now it just feels nice to just cruise down the street.

  2. Add some grip tape and throw some good bushings in there and that is pretty close a perfect setup for a reasonable price. That will blow away a stock penny or stereo.
So far I think the fish decks feel just as good as the penny. Maybe a little rougher finished than the penny or stereo but rides just as good.
Stay away from the fasttracks they will be way to wide for these boards. I have a set and I really don't like how they turn on any board anyway. I'm 170 so we are pretty close in weight and the mix tracks work well for me.
I'm in the same boat. I still take a freestyle deck out once in awhile but I don't even have a new school board setup anymore. Plastic decks and soft wheels do everything I need to do lately.
Thanks for the compliment and let me know how the board works out.
