an old deck I made
Looking through some old pics I found this. I think It was the first longboard I made like 6 or 5 or 7 years ago. There is not much in making of a pintail like this. I got some baltic birch plywood, made a shape on it and cut it out. Then came the paint and the picture of my dog. It turned out okay, check out that shineyness. The shape kind of sucks for how I like to ride. There are no big hills around here and it takes a parking lot to turn it around.
I kind of want to set it up and go for a ride now.

Flexdex grenade to the beach
This is one of my favorite decks
The trucks are Randal 150s that I cut way down. They feel really tall and tippy.

Ace Trucks
I have been trying to decide if I should get some of these in the 100mm size. These are 155s my friend Charlie just got. He says they are the best turning trucks he has. I might really have to get a set now.

Bones Reds
I appreciate Bones Reds. They ride really nice. They are like $11-12 if you look around and you can get them anywhere for a few dollars more and they ride very nice. They are like the PBR of skateboard bearings.

Silverados
Shorty's Silverados Hardware: It was the only kind of 1 1/4" hardware the local shop had. Guess what?
I do not care for the small heads on these bolts. They say it puts less stress on the hole. I say it puts the same stress on a smaller area. That is worse. Oh well, what do I know.

G.B.S. to the beach
Maybe the wheels still need changed, but this thing rides so nice. This deck with the 139mm Surf-Rods and bones mediums feels good.

Stereo Vinyl Cruiser trucks kingpin upgrade.
Get my things.
stock truck, new bushings, some washers, standard kingpin and nut-2"3/8"24tpi, skate tool, JB Weld, and 17mm wrench.
The stock kingpins are big and weird. Take apart truck
Comparison shot of the 2 kingpins. Insert new Kingpin.
Mix up your JB Weld with something you wont need anymore. Then dump in and beside the head of the kingpin. You don't have to fill up the hole, just get enough on the sides so that the kingpin wont spin when you tighten it. Try not to get very much on your hands and none on your phone. And none on the counter. Good luck.
Then I put he washers, bushings and hanger on to get it lined up then a clamp to hold it straight and leaned it against the wall until it cures.
And then... go to sleep.
The next day, All hardened. Tighten up the kingpin bolts with your eyes closed thinking there is no way that stuff is going to hold. Then it holds and your trucks are done. I have done this on shortboard trucks before and it holds up pretty well. Little pieces might chip off but you will still be able to tighten and loosen the trucks.

Bmx and a Hamboard
We ride bikes to the pier for a couple beers and lunch.
Sometimes the owner of the bar brings out a Indoboard or a longboard for us to play with.
Sometimes it is this Hamboard.
This thing looks way to big and heavy but it is actually pretty fun. And heavy

Orangatang Bushings
These are the most inappropriate bushings I own. Orangatang Nipples. Why would they name them that? Another question I have is what am I missing about the logo? Are those eyes? Are they Nipples? Nipples would make more sense because why would the be called nipples and have eyes on them for a logo? But if that is the case, why would the nipples have eyebrows? Not trying to brag but I have seen some nipples before, sober, and none of them have had eyebrows. None.
I will say two things about these bushings though. One, the packaging amused me. Two they felt awesome. I immediately put them in the 100mm Surf-Rodz Indeesz that I have on my Penny. They felt awesome, I SAID. I had red Khiro barrels boardside and red Khiro tall inserts Roadside. They felt really good. These Nipples are about the same durometer, 89a vs the Khiro 90a. Maybe is because they seem a little softer but there is more material, but I like them a lot. I am going to have to try the other hardnesses and try them in some other trucks and see what happens.
The yellows I got are 89a
purple are 87a
orange are 85a
and I measured them at 1" across, short ones are 9/16" tall and tall ones are 5/8"
they also come with some washers with the eye/nipple logo stamped all around them. Maybe it is supposed to be a 6? Or the g from their logo? anyway the washers are 1/16" thick and 1" across.
